Elicyon is seeking a project manager to join its team in London.

Overview

Reporting to the projects director, the project manager is to oversee and manage the day to day delivery of Elicyon construction, refurbishment and FF&E/decoration projects.

With the directors and associates the project manager is to oversee and coordinate Elicyon’s in-house design and architectural teams to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.

The project manager will be a stakeholder in team resourcing to ensure project deadlines are consistently met.

The project manager is responsible for the tendering process, appointment of the consultant team and project supply chain.

The project manager will successfully manage the client, consultant team and suppliers/sub-contractor relationships with limited or no supervision.

With the support of the project architects the project manager will manage the obtaining of all statutory approvals.

The project manager will lead contract administration and monthly client reporting.

The project manager is to monitor and deliver projects to the agreed contract programme and budget.

Assist the projects director with the preparation of new business proposals, commercial tracking and business operations.

The project manager will manage and ensure team adherence to the Elicyon project guide.

To have sole responsibility for monitoring and tracking the complete lifecycle of the project from concept through to handover.

To have the ability to lead client, consultant and contractor communications.

To be responsible for project deadlines being met and that projects are run in an organised and structured manner. Oversee the production of architectural and design information.

To have a strong understanding of luxury design and the standards required to achieve high execution levels.

Identify risk factors and tackle with a solution-based approach.

Contract administration

Strong knowledge of JCT contract administration procedures and building contracts. Understand Elicyon’s commercial requirements to deliver projects.

Design

Have a good understanding of RIBA Design stages, drawing packages and FF&E procurement. Strong knowledge on buildability and construction methods.

Attitude

To have a non-egotistical and hands-on approach.

Software skills

To be fluent in Microsoft Projects, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Code

Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and H&S legislation.

Qualifications and experience:

  • RICS accredited degree in construction management or quantity surveying
  • minimum of two years’ experience in delivering luxury interior design projects with construction values ranging from £500k – £10m. International project experience is an added bonus
  • minimum of two projects completed in London through all RIBA stages acting as sole project manager responsible for successful delivery
