Part 2/3 architectural assistant

Envelope Design is seeking a Part 2/3 architectural assistant to join its team on London.

Envelope Design is a residential architecture and project management practice in Finsbury Park, London. We are a dynamic, small-sized, growing practice that aims to bring design and project management together. We love working on site and collaborating with builders to deliver better designed, better quality buildings.
We have a diverse range of residential projects and endeavour to make the office a fun and enjoyable place to be.
Role responsibilities:
- assisting the director on a variety of projects, giving you a broad range of experience
- progressing to take on more responsibilities within a creative and technically focused practice
You will gain experience across all RIBA work stages, including:
- concept design
- planning applications
- detailed design and tender
- construction site experience, including site visits and inspections
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run projects and gain valuable experience towards Part 3 qualification (if applicable).
Ideal candidate profile:
- a minimum of two years design experience in a UK architecture office
- a strong design portfolio with good technical detailing skills
- a proactive team player, also able to work independently and manage deadlines
- good written and spoken English
- proficiency in CAD (ideally Vectorworks), Word and a decent knowledge of Excel
- Photoshop, 3D modelling and good hand drawing skills
Other Requirements:
- eligibility to work in the UK
- a candidate able to work from our London office in Finsbury Park, but with flexibility to work remotely
