Equation is hiring a senior lighting designer to join its creative team in London.

Equation is an award-winning independent professional lighting design consultancy established over 37 years ago. Our diverse portfolio covers landmark projects in the UK and internationally including lighting masterplans, urban regeneration projects, commercial developments and fit-outs, prime residential schemes, retail, hospitality, arts and cultural projects. We collaborate with the world’s foremost architects, interior designers and landscape designers on prestigious projects.

The role requires a senior lighting designer who wants to progress to the next level with:

  • minimum of six years’ experience of working in a professional independent lighting design team
  • relevant first degree in architecture, interiors, engineering, product or theatre design
  • master’s degree in lighting design would be advantageous
  • a solid grounding in all aspects of architectural lighting design, highly creative, great communicator and very keen to develop their career further
  • great passion for design and the ability to present ideas using drawings, sketches and a variety of computer visualisation methods and media
  • communicate and present, both written and verbally, in English
  • excellent working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD and DIALux
  • experience in BIM/Revit/Rhino
