ETH Zurich is seeking a teaching assistant to join its Studio Meteora and Digitial Architectonics team in Zurich, Switzerland.
We are looking for architects who are bored with the ‘genericness’ that dominates in today’s architectural practices and discourses. If you want to make a step in architectural design that goes beyond either conforming or complaining, that abstracts from parametrics and optimization, and if you are interested in Architecture, its two millennia old tradition of architectonic treaties, mathematical thinking and philosophy, and contemporary computer science (big data, machine learning), you are welcome to our group.
We are looking for a person interested in teaching design studio and working on architectural competitions. This is a teaching assistant position for four years.
The position provides the option of continuing your research in the form of a PhD. We are expecting your CV, a short motivation letter and your portfolio before 23 April 2021. Position should start on 1 of August but is open for negotiation.
Please note that we exclusively accept applications submitted through our online application portal. Applications via email or postal services will not be considered.
Further information about the chair of digital architectonics can be found on our website. Questions regarding the position should be directed to Mario Guala, email email@example.com (no applications).
