Experienced Part 2/3 architect
at Extended Studio
Extended Studio is seeking an experienced Part 2/recently qualified Part 3 architect to join its studio in Gloucestershire, UK.
We focus on delivering architecture that prioritises communities and community impact. Our projects range from a museum learning kitchen to affordable workspaces in railway arches and from intricate small sites housing to street-side growing gardens.
Communities are always at the heart of our design process.
In this role, you will take the lead on a mix of small sites housing and community projects with support from a director, working from our studio in Stroud.
Requirements – please demonstrate these in your cover email and portfolio:
- work examples that reflect our ethos: using architecture to build communities
- experience working on all RIBA stages in a UK architecture practice
- knowledge of UK building regulations and GLA policy, particularly on housing
- examples of creative and resourceful approaches to working with constrained budgets to deliver delightful spaces
- ability to clearly communicate the value of design, with confidence working alongside clients, consultants and communities
- motivated, passionate, able to manage time and take initiative
- proficiency in ArchiCAD and Adobe is required, other software beneficial

Salary: £33 to 36,000, dependent on experience.
