FBC London is hiring a CAD designer for high-end furniture to join its team in London.

Office based role

Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:30pm with one unpaid hour break for lunch.

25 days holiday per annum including the three days between Christmas and New Year when the business is closed.

Founded by renowned British interior designer Fiona Barratt-Campbell in 2013, FBC London is an exclusive collection of handcrafted furniture that embodies Fiona’s signature style of simplistic elegance, luxurious detailing, and richly textured finishes. We are currently seeking an experienced CAD designer for high-end furniture to join our team in London.

Key responsibilities:

  • working with the sales team and clients to provide solutions for customer driven design briefs Design customised products for specific client requirements
  • liaising with the sales team in London and New York to create sign off documents and drawings for bespoke furniture
  • coordinating with the workshop to ensure they follow the drawings and get the right technical information
  • working with the Head of Procurement in planning work schedules, checking and coordinating fabrication timescales, resources, and production information ensuring delivery dates are met
  • responsible for all product data, creating and updating tear sheets, and managing the sample library
  • taking part in the design and development of new products, finishes, and prototyping

  • preparing care instructions and installation instructions for a wide range of products
  • in addition to the duties which this position normally entails, there may from time to time be additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the group

Requirements:

  • a minimum of three to six years’ experience within high-end luxury furniture
  • experienced in the use of AutoCAD and Solidworks design software
  • meeting tight deadlines and short lead times
  • understand furniture/lighting manufacturing principles and techniques
  • well-organised with excellent attention to detail in every area
  • legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship
