Mid-weight interior architect
at FBC London

FBC London is seeking a mid-weight interior architect to join its team in London.


The interior architect will be either educated with an applicable degree or diploma. A minimum of two years’ experience working in a professional design studio.

The interior architect will report to the senior architect who will direct and supervise the work as well as mentor performance and development.

They should bring to the group an enthusiasm and willingness to learn that helps the group and their colleagues provide the first-class service our clients expect, working on these high-end residential and commercial design projects with confidence in a client-facing role.

This is a full-time position based in our Pimlico Road studio. All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK.


  • working quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
  • ability to work as part of a team and independently under the supervision of the senior designers
  • strong technical skills and the ability to produce all interior architectural drawings at a high level of detail and accuracy alongside schedules
  • producing bespoke joinery, elevations, plans, sections, RCPs drawings
  • excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite range including Photoshop and InDesign with the ability to produce quality technical, production drawings and presentations
  • help create and put together tender and construction packages including schedules of works, lighting, power and sanitary ware for the senior architects’ review
  • good working knowledge of UK planning rules and regulations
  • 3D capabilities are advantageous but not necessary
  • self-confident and able to cope with constructive criticism
  • exceptional attention to detail and innovative problem-solving skills
  • fluent in English with excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual


  • work to a written or verbal brief provided by the senior architect
  • assist the senior architect in completing architectural/interior packages as requested
  • assist the senior architect produce detailed drawings and tender packages as requested
  • liaise with contractors and other professionals as required
  • attend, as requested and required by the senior architect, meetings with contractors and other specialists
  • make site visits to check on progress, as instructed by the senior architect
  • continue to develop knowledge and skills relevant or applicable to your role
  • any ad hoc requests from either the senior architect or the directors

In addition to the duties which this position normally entails there may from time to time be additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the group.
