ForeStays is hiring a project and property manager to join its team in London and Margate, UK.
ForeStays and ForeProjects is seeking a dynamic and proactive full-time project and property manager with an interest in management, construction and space making to join our growing team across London and Margate, UK.
Our business
We run a boutique short-stay and construction company, and have delivered incredible projects such as Margate House. Working across lettings, hotels and construction, we are committed to making and renting out beautiful spaces.
This role will be split across two arms of the business; ForeStays and ForeProjects.
ForeStays operate over twenty exclusive properties and pride ourselves on high guest and client satisfaction. We are looking to expand our portfolio, as well as continue to provide excellent service for our existing clients.
ForeProjects is our construction wing used to refurbish a continually expanding portfolio of properties that we then operate. We are looking to hire additional support to help plan, manage and deliver exciting future projects.
Your role
ForeStays:
- manage a portfolio of rental properties and ensure they are properly maintained
- handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely manner
- stay up-to-date with local rental market trends and regulations
- source and build relationships with prospective clients to expand business opportunities
- design business plans for assigned properties that suit customers’ needs
- collect receivable accounts and handle operating expenses
- develop and manage annual budgets by forecasting requirements and analysing variances, data and trends
- oversee properties’ personnel and assess its performance
- update job and market knowledge
ForeProjects:
- plan and implement projects
- help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- define tasks and required resources
- collect and manage project team
- manage the project budget
- allocate project resources
- create a project schedule and timeline
- support and direct team
- lead quality assurance
- report on the project status
- present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
- evaluate and assess the result of the project
Core skills and experience:
- excellent communication skills
- problem-solving and leadership skills
- project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills
- experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
- proficiency in project management software and tools
- contract negotiation
- conflict resolution experience
- knowledge of property management principles and practices
- familiarity with property laws and regulations
- ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- you must be self-motivated, ambitious and precise, have a positive attitude and be trustworthy
- you must be flexible, quick to adapt to new situations, keen to try new things, and learn from mistakes
Salary and contract
Full-time contract. Competitive salary offered, based on your experience and contribution to the business.
Hybrid work model with both remote and on-site duties, across London and Margate. It would be ideal if you are based within a reasonable distance from these locations.
