Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects is hiring Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistants to join its team in London.
FBM Architects is an award-winning practice committed to good design and delivery of projects. We are now seeking Part 1s or Part 2s, preferably with UK practice experience, to join our studio. We are a successful design-led RIBA Chartered practice based in Old Street, London and we work on a wide range of creative and challenging projects, across many sectors including residential, education and commercial.
Recent projects include the multi-award-winning Regent Place in Tower Hamlets and the AJ Awards-shortlisted Thornton House. We have also delivered estate regeneration schemes for the London Boroughs of Southwark and Tower Hamlets. More recently, our portfolio has expanded to include work in the hospitality sector. Within the practice, you will have the chance to collaborate and contribute to the design and production of information for a range of projects at different stages and across a variety of team sizes.
Following several recent project wins, we are seeking talented staff with housing experience to join our team.
Candidates should have the following experience and skillset:
- Part 1 applicants – a minimum of one year of professional experience
- Part 2 applicants – a minimum of two years of professional experience
- an interest and experience in housing projects
- the use of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- experience in using Revit is also beneficial
- ability to produce 3D presentations and hand sketches
- a good eye for detail
- ability to work as a larger team whilst also demonstrating autonomy across a number of different tasks or projects
- excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and verbal)
- knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is also beneficial
