Fredrikson Stallard is hiring a senior production manager to join its team in London.
Fredrikson Stallard is leading art and design practice established 2005 in London. This role requires an individual capable of project management and coordination. It also incorporates elements of a designer role and aspects of day to day running of the studio. Applicants must be proactive, resourceful, personable and highly organised with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- working with the artists to develop initial concepts and and overseeing the whole manufacturing process
- confident in Rhino3d to create 3D models, including handling and altering large 3D scan files; utilising CAD for 2D technical production drawings; rendering visuals and video animations for client presentations
- sourcing new suppliers and researching new production processes
- working with suppliers to produce works on budget within the given timeline to a high standard; this includes visiting suppliers internationally to condition check pieces and being onsite for installations
- general day-to-day running of the studio; administrative tasks include organising shipping and logistics, invoices and purchase orders, organising external contractors to help with the running of the studio HQ such as IT service providers etc.
- helping with the physical making of artworks in the workshop from time to time; this includes working with wood, metal and resins.
The essential requirements for applicants are:
- being experienced in managing the fabrication of high-end bespoke furniture, objects and sculpture, with a wide variety of manufacturing processes; excellent project management, communication and organisation skills
- meticulous attention to detail
- confident personality and foster good relationships with suppliers and clients; communicate complex problems/solutions in an articulate manner
- ability to plan and multitask various jobs and projects under pressure, maintaining a calm, effective and common-sense attitude to work
- be a problem solver
- proficiency in Office 365 (Excel), Rhino, KeyShot and Adobe Creative Suite
- driving license essential
- workshops skills/knowledge an advantage
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
