Tim Butcher and Lizzie Deshayes launched Fromental in 2005, intent on making the world’s most beautiful wall coverings. Combining the finest skills together with luxurious fabrics, we have become known for our elaborate and intricate designs. Our studio in Northwest London is at the heart of the company, and the production team plays a key role in client projects and product development; we are looking for a new recruit to support this hardworking team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate and motivated to contribute to our team.

As an entry-level candidate, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills in a supportive environment. Overall, we are seeking candidates who are eager to learn, adaptable and have a strong work ethic.

We value individuals who can work well in a team, communicate effectively, and are open to taking on new challenges. The role is an initial fixed-term contract of 12 months with the possibility to extend to a full-time position.

Job description

The primary role will involve creating and preparing artwork for wallpaper production from a library of existing murals, with a strong emphasis on image processing and quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring all artwork meets the necessary technical requirements, including
composition, colour accuracy, and overall visual appeal. Additionally, you will play a key role in updating website imagery and designing marketing materials that effectively communicate our brand’s message and showcase the breadth of our wallpaper collections.

The following tasks form the main basis of the role:

  • photo editing and scanning for marketing materials, ensuring high-quality imagery is produced for both digital and print formats
  • managing website content by updating imagery, ensuring all visual elements reflect current products and marketing initiatives
  • graphic design of marketing materials, ensuring that content aligns with our brand aesthetic
  • building full-scale wallpaper murals using a library of existing artwork files
  • processing wallpaper production orders
  • digital colour matching of sampling against master references
  • production admin using the company’s internal software
  • manage substrate stock and ordering of materials from external suppliers
  • help to maintain production schedules with the support of other team members
  • general assistance in the studio and support with all studio tasks

Key skills required:

  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent Photoshop and InDesign skills
  • Illustrator preferable
  • Excel preferable
  • excellent time management and organisational skills
  • good eye for detail and colour
  • excellent compositional skills
  • confident with dimensions, numbers, and scale
  • ability to follow outlined internal protocols and systems

Salary: £25,500
