Part 2 architectural assistant

Galmstrup Architects is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its growing team in London.
We are searching for someone with a minimum of four years’ experience from practice to work on cultural heritage projects in the UK and abroad.
About the role
Working from our London studio, the achitectural assistant will work on design proposals for buildings and masterplans independently, or in a team assisting a project architect. Responsibilities will be varied and range from contributing in meetings and presentations, preparing CAD drawings, 3D models and visuals, to researching and preparing reports.
We welcome applicants who can demonstrate strong design skills and who have post-graduate experience from practice. Someone who is creative and innovative as well as positive, proactive and wants to be part of a small growing practice.
Essential skills/knowledge
Successful applicants will have the following skills and qualifications:
- excellent design and visual communication skills
- minimum four years’ experience from practice post-Part 2
- interest in research, processes and communities
- proficient in Rhino and the Adobe Suite programmes
- familiar with MicroStation, AutoCAD or Revit
- attention to detail and able to check and correct own work
- ability to multi-task and structured and able to work to deadlines
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- fluent spoken and written English
- must be eligible to work in the UK

Galmstrup Architects are a design-led practice specialised in cultural and community projects. Our work revolves around the civic sphere, varying in scale from designing and building museums, galleries, exhibitions and community centers, to strategic masterplanning of cultural districts, heritage sites and entire landscapes.
