Garnett Architecture is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London, UK.
Garnett Architecture is an award-winning design-led practice based a short walk from Bankside and Tate Modern. Our projects comprise a mix of high-end residential, offices and retail. Clients include the ‘great estates’, leading developers, property investors and major end users. With much of our work based in the City and West End of London, the practice is equally comfortable working on both new build and conservation projects.
We currently have an opportunity for a Part 2 architectural assistant in a full-time/permanent position. We encourage applications from dynamic candidates with an interest in all aspects of the architectural process, who wish to be involved in projects through every design stage.
Your responsibilities:
- generating creative design at all stages of projects
- engaging with clients, consultants and contractor teams
- preparing technical design and specification information for construction
- integrating sustainable design and ethos into existing and new projects
- delivering the highest quality of drawn and written output at all times
Your skills and experience:
- at least one years experience in the UK
- design-focused with passion for detailing and materiality
- excellent presentation skills of both verbal and written communication and drawing
- have the ability to visualise, illustrate and present ideas clearly
- have excellent written and communication skills
- an impressive portfolio displaying strong design skills
Experience with the following software would be an advantage:
- AutoCAD
- Archicad or Revit
- 3D SketchUp
- Lumion or V-Ray or similar rendering software
Your attributes:
- proactive and enthusiastic personality with strong interpersonal skills
- well organised
- strong and engaged team player
- fluent in spoken and written English
- eligible to work in the UK
