Green Code Architects is hiring Part 3 architects and Part 2 architects to join its team in London.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on some exciting master plan developments and large projects we are just about to start.
Green Code Holdings (GCH) seek architects of different levels to work on new projects. Under the Green Code Holdings, Green Code Architects work closely with its sister companies, Green Code Engineering, Green Code Developers, Green Code Consultants and F-Line Designs.
About us:
Green Code Architects is a practice made up of well-experienced and enthusiastic designers and architects who are at the forefront of legislation, regulations and wield in-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
After undergoing a rebrand, the renaming has been considered carefully to provide greater focus on our work and what we do – previously known as Design Code Architects. We believe in no one-size-fits-all solution to spatial curation, with every project being different. We take a human-centred approach to our designs, with sustainability being considered throughout, recognising the contribution of every element towards the sustainable design process.
The practice has a series of exciting projects currently within the UK, working within the commercial, residential, and community sectors. We are also currently in communication with companies in Europe regarding innovative and sustainable designs, which we wish to be market leaders within the UK.
Each of our team has skills in a multitude of different industry sectors, and that knowledge is shared by everyone. We are incredibly diverse, with employees from all over the world. All these backgrounds, mixed with our contemporary understanding of architecture and structures, allow our designs to be accessible to everyone.
Duties and responsibilities:
- consult with clients to determine their requirements
- capability to manage detail-oriented clients
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- lead and develop projects from early concept through design and technical development
- prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- interest and commitment to developing the practice outlook and culture as we grow
- able to work independently as well as collaboratively
Requirements:
- proficiency in spoken and written English, with demonstrable verbal and written communications skills
- minimum of four years in UK practice
- Experience with development projects
- interested in the sustainability of buildings, innovative with design
architects must be registered with ARB (RIBA is also desired) - excellent AutoCAD skills, proficiency in SketchUp/Rhino, Revit, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
- excellent design, detailing and presentation skills
- strong knowledge of UK building regulations and all RIBA work stages
- strong knowledge of London planning policies
- strong technical expertise and knowledge of current construction methods
- ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, excellent timekeeping skills
- experience coordinating with subcontractors
