Gustafson Porter + Bowman is seeking an assistant landscape architect to join its team in London.

We are looking for an Assistant Landscape Architect with up to 4 year’s professional experience to join our friendly, hard-working, and collaborative team.
Applicants should have the following skills and experience
Skills and experience:
- degree in architecture/landscape architecture (BA plus postgraduate diploma or MA)
- up to four years’ professional experience
- ability to use landscape related software to a very high standard including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or Revit
- ability to work as part of a project team: contributing creative solutions and taking direction from senior colleagues
- ability to manage own workload efficiently, and to seek support from colleagues when required
- ability to check and correct own work before passing on to senior colleagues for review
- awareness of relevant Health and Safety, CDM and Risk Assessments
- professional conduct, excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- enthusiastic, flexible, diligent, dedicated and eager to learn
- commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity in all working practices
Roles and responsibilities
Design:
- support project landscape architects, seniors, associates and partners from project inception to completion
- contribute to design development and design reviews
- prepare drawings
- assist with sub-consultants and technical coordination
Client relations:
- assist with client and stakeholder meetings and presentations
BIM information author:
- create files ensuring appropriate file attributes
- follow Task Information Delivery Plan
- produce and amend information in accordance with BEP
- issue documents to Task Team Manager for approval
- consult BIM specialist when creating a family/model
- ensure graphical models are spatially coordinated
- manage received model as per standards
- maintain Gustafson Porter + Bowman standards
- able to work with both internal and external CDE
New business and marketing:
- support competitions and bids
- assist with production of marketing texts and images
- regularly attend industry events and lectures
Practice management and HR:
- ensure personal resourcing is correct
- contribute to office groups and team meetings
- build CPD into regular schedule
