Gustafson Porter + Bowman is looking for a landscape architect to join its team in London.

We are looking for a landscape architect with at least three years’ professional experience to join our friendly, hard-working, and collaborative team.
Applicants should have the following skills and experience
Skills and experience:
- degree in architecture/landscape architecture
- minimum three years professional experience
- Part 3 qualified architect, registration for P2C an advantage
- ability to use landscape related software to a very high standard including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or Revit
- knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, CDM & Risk Assessments, Building Regulations
- professional conduct, excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to guide, advise, and / or oversee the work of junior colleagues
- commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity in all working practices
Responsibilities
Design and project management:
- undertake full scope of landscape architect duties on small projects under the supervision of a senior member of staff, from inception to completion (including design, detailing and supporting cost estimating, preparation of contract and tender documentation, tendering and administration of contracts and all works on site to completion) to a high standard and client expectations
- work as part of the team on larger or more complex projects, contributing creative solutions and taking direction from senior colleagues
- assist in preparing proposals and sub-contracts
- manage sub-consultants and technical coordination (small projects)
- assist management and support of assistants
- prepare drawings/specifications and check drawings by assistants
- quality and graphic control
- support Design Review, Planting Reviews and Lessons Learnt
- deliver efficient contract administration on smaller projects and support efficient contract administration on larger projects, including up-to-date and accurate project records and filing
Client and stakeholder relations:
- support presentation and report development for clients.
- attend and contribute to client and consultant meetings / presentations.
Resourcing and financial management:
- assist fee negotiations
- assist tracking project fees and invoicing, including negotiation of additional fees where necessary
New business and marketing:
- assist with project marketing texts and images
- assist with expressions of interest
- regularly attend industry events and lectures
Practice management and HR:
- take an active role in an office groups, meetings and socials
- contribute to the learning of others across the organisation by sharing knowledge and skills both informally and formally
- build CPD into regular schedule
