New business coordinator

Part-time permanent contract (28 to 32 hours per week)

Gustafson Porter + Bowman is an award-winning leading landscape architecture practice which has received public acclaim for creating engaging and beautiful spaces around the world.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious new business coordinator to join our friendly and collaborative team based in Camden, London. The successful candidate will play a key role in our practice, as we continue to grow our UK and international reach and promote the awareness of high-quality contextual landscape architecture in the natural and built environments.  They will work in close collaboration with the marketing manager, as well as the partners and design team members.

Key responsibilities:

  • proactively identify new business opportunities, and ensure that all enquires are followed up promptly
  • lead the preparation of tender and bid submissions, coordinating the processes from start to end, ensuring that all progress is tracked and deadlines are met
  • coordinate with external and internal contributors for bids and submission materials
  • update and maintain bid material alongside the marketing manager
  • provide debrief analysis after all submissions and formulate strategies for ongoing success

Skills and experience:

  • three years’ minimum experience responding to bids and managing related materials, with ambition, creative talent and commercial drive
  • strong knowledge of the architecture and landscape architecture industry
  • excellent English language communication and proof-reading skills, with the ability to write engaging and relevant text within the house-style
  • skilled in designing and preparing layouts, with excellent attention to graphic design
  • advanced in Adobe InDesign, proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • confident liaising with collaborators and other professionals, acting as ambassador for the practice and first point of contact for potential projects
  • able to take key direction as well as work independently, identifying priorities and working within tight deadlines
