Harrods is hiring a project manager to join its team in London.

The project manager will support the smooth running of interior design projects from the initial brief and approvals stage to planning, resourcing, tendering, delivery and installation

You must have a clear understanding of the high-end interior design industry and delivery processes in the UK, in-house project management experience would be preferable. For this role, you will guide projects and teams in order to meet the project objectives as well as the business as a whole.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for planning and liaising closely with the project teams on deliverables and timelines. You will ensure internal and external communication on projects is concise and in line with the department processes as well as other administrative tasks. You will also be facilitating project team meetings, issuing minutes, and following up to ensure day-to-day communication and actions are managed smoothly and effectively.

About you

You will have a background in either architecture, interior design or project management. Experience in the design or construction industry will also be desirable. You will be comfortable with multitasking and able to deliver multiple projects simultaneously on time, within budget and meet the project objectives.

The successful candidate will have a high level of organisation skills and be able to prioritise your work as well as the team. You’ll sustain a positive outlook and stay calm under pressure.

These are the required credentials for the role:

  • construction project management, architecture or interior design degree
  • self-motivation, a flexible approach and strong use of judgement and initiative
  • experience managing interior design or architecture projects from start to end
  • strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability and willingness to prioritise projects while meeting deadlines
  • a team player, with a positive attitude and ability to support your colleagues to achieve their best
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • proficient at using MSOffice 365, including Excel, MS Projects and Adobe Suite
