Haverstock is looking for an architect to join its studio near Kings Cross, London.
We are recruiting for a range of exciting projects within the studio; which are at various work stages and we are particularly keen to speak with people who are experienced or passionate about conservation.
As a design-led architectural studio, we work side-by-side with clients to create inspiring, life-changing buildings. We focus on specialist public-sector projects, using a combination of creativity and rigorous thinking to tackle varied and complex briefs. With over 40 years’ experience, we design buildings of all kinds including specialist schools and colleges, police centres, civic spaces and housing and community buildings. As we are actively recruiting within our conservation team, a successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
- a passion for conservation architecture, heritage within the built environment and designing modern interventions in older buildings
- previous experience working in this sector is a benefit to this application but not an absolute requirement
- creativity and an aptitude for architectural and detailed design thinking
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- high aptitude for working with 2D AutoCAD, with an experience of Revit a benefit
- an enthusiasm for the social value of architecture
- good organisation skills and an enthusiastic attitude
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written
