Hill House Interiors is looking for a senior interior designer to join its team in Weybridge, UK.
We are looking for a new Senior Interior Designer to join our award-winning, international interior design and architectural studio in Weybridge. Hill House Interiors’ Directors, Helen and Jenny, are supported by a 25+ strong team of designers and interior architects.
Together we are a flourishing design practice that creates interiors that embody the best in British and European design. Our signature look of ‘Modern Luxury’ blends our impeccable attention to detail with layers of texture and innovative materials.
Work Pattern: Full Time; 37.5 hours a week.
Working Hours: 9.00am – 5.30am or 9:30am – 6.00pm
Our ideal candidate would be/possess:
- multiple years’ experience as an interior designer, ideally in an FF&E background
- strong understanding of the full design process
- adegree in interior design/interior architecture
- an independent attitude; can hit the ground running
- experience and confidence in project monitoring from concept to completion
- sourcing and procurement of FF&E
- technical drawing skills
- capable of working in a pressured environment with the ability to work to deadlines
- computer literate: proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Photoshop
- a very good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketch Up, with experience of EstiPC an advantage
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The job will involve dealing with clients or suppliers, either on a personal basis or over the telephone. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is also important
- ability to work effectively as part of a team on multiple projects
- a full, clean driving licence for site visits is a must
- a great eye for design and colour with good 3D and spatial awareness
- strong knowledge of FF&E suppliers (e.g. furniture, fabric and wallpaper)
The main duties will include:
- working as part of a team on both UK and international projects from concept through to completion
- producing accurate schedules for curtain and furniture manufacturers, for example
- sourcing and specifying products and materials whilst being mindful of a set budget
- producing comprehensive and professional looking mood boards for presentations to clients
- responsibility for multiple projects from concept development through to installation and styling
- preparing detailed and accurate drawings, designs, plans, and schemes
- working in a team with other designers
- keeping up to date with new developments and design trends in the design industry
- sourcing, scheduling, and specifying furniture, fittings & materials of the highest quality
- managing projects independently
- liaise with clients and manage on-site installation
