Holte Studio is seeking a junior designer to join its team in London.
We are looking for an ambitious junior designer to join our growing team. The role will entail liaising with clients, preparing quotes, introducing clients to the products in the showroom, preparing design & production drawings and general day-to-day assistance.
We are a small, growing company which means there can be a large diversity in tasks; the successful candidate must be flexible and prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. We welcome applicants from a variety of art/design backgrounds including but not limited to: architecture, interior design, furniture design, product design, graphic design, fine art and industrial design.
Are you:

Do you have:
- an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in interior architecture, product design, architecture or a similar, closely-related subject? Or two to three years’ working experience in kitchen design, interior design or architecture?
- a minimum of one years’ professional experience in a studio or office environment?
- some sales of customer service experience?
- the ability to work as part of a team and independently?
- excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively?
- experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Indesign or equivalent programmes? Knowledge of 3D modelling programmes such as SketchUp or Rhino is a plus
What the job involves
The nature of our small company means that the role is diverse but here are some of the tasks and responsibilities it covers:
- working with the design team and clients to progress design projects
- managing and processing sample orders
- producing quotes and estimates
- holding appointments with clients in the showroom and online to discuss their project, guiding them through our pathways and product range
- research and design development, including looking for new materials, processes and finishes
- generating production drawings
- liasing with architects and builders on project delivery
- as you gain experience in the role, there will be progression opportunities for the right candidate to more senior design roles within the organisation

Normal opening hours are 9am-6pm, Monday to Saturday.
Please note, the successful candidate will be expected to work some Saturday hours (one Saturday a month in exchange for TOIL or overtime pay). We are based at our design studio just off Broadway Market, Hackney.
