HTA Design is seeking a creative writer for built environment to join its team in London.
HTA Design is an award-winning practice of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, planners, graphic designers and sustainability specialists, working in collaborative teams to design and deliver great places to live.
An exciting opportunity exists for a creative writer to join our wonderful design studio based in Hackney Wick, London.
As HTA’s creative writer you will be part of the new business team and responsible for a varied workload including, writing tenders and bids, updating project case studies and reviews, providing copy for website and award submissions and assisting with marketing activity as required.
You will work across teams and report to HTA’s partner in charge of new business.
To be considered, the successful candidate will have:
- extensive experience of writing bids/tenders from start to closure working in a high performing bid team
- construction sector experience, preferred but not essential
- good working knowledge and understanding of procurement processes
- proven commitment to high performance and dedicated to own professional learning and development
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships at all levels across the practice
- first class writing and presentation skills
- a graphical eye and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to respond proactively and when required
- ability to use initiative and work unsupervised
- ability to listen and influence at senior management level
- good negotiating skills
- strong organisational skills and ability to calmly manage a busy workload and deliver to tight and strict deadlines
- a strong understanding of how to effectively dissect and analyse client and bid requirements and develop response plans for technical questions
- ability to use interviews to extract information required and to turn this into bid-winning written responses
- keen interest in the architectural sector/built environment
- strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word), Microsoft Project is desirable
- working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), preferred but not essential
