Contract: permanent

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000

We are an award-winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Communications Design, Sustainability, and Planning.

We are specialists in residential design and construction because we believe that helping to create new, better housing is one of the most important things an architect can do. Worldwide, societies are struggling to provide homes for everyone, and we want to be part of the solution to this problem.

Our Sustainable Futures team provides expert guidance on sustainable places and buildings, with over 15 years of experience across a variety of building typologies and uses. From low-rise housing to tall buildings, we’ve delivered projects ranging from small infill developments to large-scale regeneration and innovative modular construction. As a certified B Corp and signatories of Architects Declare, RIBA 2030, and UKGBC, we are committed to advancing sustainable design.

Working within an interdisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will support the delivery of energy-efficient and sustainable housing projects, collaborating with some of the most aspirational developers in the sector. From early-stage design through to post-occupancy evaluation, this role offers career growth, thought leadership opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact.

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have:

  • an MSc in sustainable design, environmental engineering or other relevant field
  • one to two years relevant experience in the building physics and sustainability sector, including energy, overheating and daylight/sunlight analysis, in addition to WLCA and CE assessments
  • familiarity with GLA requirements for energy/COâ‚‚ reductions, overheating, WLCA, and CE assessments
  • strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads independently
  • knowledge of UK building regulations and methodologies such as RICS for WLCA
  • motivation to develop your career and contribute to sustainable design innovation

HTA offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. You will work on impactful projects shaping urban living while contributing to net-zero carbon strategies, embodied carbon assessments, and post-occupancy evaluations.
