Hull Studio is seeking a full-time practice manager to join its team in Bermondsey, London, UK.

Hull Studio is a thriving multidisciplinary design studio located in the vibrant Bermondsey area of London. Our ethos revolves around the exploration of the relationship between traditional craftsmanship, modern technology and organic design. Specialising in bespoke commissions for superyachts, luxury residential sectors and limited edition art pieces, our work showcases a fusion of traditional cabinetmaking, leatherwork, composite construction, CNC and 3D printing technologies.
About the role
As a project manager at Hull Studio, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working closely with directors and the design team. Your responsibilities will include planning and managing the projects from the concept development to the production and installation.
At Hull Studio, our projects range is diverse, spanning from one-of-a-kind art pieces to a substantial number of bespoke furniture items and decorative panelling for larger projects. As an project manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing these unique and varied projects to life. Managing multiple projects concurrently, including high-profile superyachts and international residential developments, you will bring your exceptional organisational, project management and creative skills to ensure the successful delivery of each unique project.
Key responsibilities:
- collaborate with directors and the design team to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
- develop detailed project schedules and budgets, adapting them based on changing needs and requirements
- identify and assign project tasks, overseeing day-to-day project management
- compile and submit project reports and production updates to clients and directors
- work effectively with design and production teams, as well as various suppliers, for efficient project implementation
- liaise with technical draftsmen to ensure manufacturing drawings align with design intent, are on time and within budget
- check and issue manufacturing drawings for production, assisting with 3D models when necessary
- regularly visit production sites and suppliers to address technical queries, manage lead times and ensure quality control
- manage logistics in the UK and internationally, sourcing new suppliers and materials
- coordinate and oversee installations on superyachts or residential sites
Required skills and abilities:
- exceptional organisational, project management and people skills
- proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software, including Rhino
- proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Excel
- working knowledge of AutoCAD
- excellent presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- keen interest in superyacht or luxury design sectors
- passion for creativity and commitment to utmost quality
- experience in furniture, interiors or superyacht sector
- engineering knowledge is a plus
- understanding of various production methods, including traditional cabinetmaking and composite construction
- adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- ability to travel

Note
In exceptional cases, training in 3D modelling and design software can be provided by the company to candidates who demonstrate outstanding project management, organisational and people skills, along with relevant experience in the superyacht industry (eg. crew looking to move shoreside).
The salary is negotiable based on experience.
