Architect/Part 2 architectural assistant

IID Architects is looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or recently qualified architect with workplace experience to join its team in London.
We are an award winning practice based in beautiful Richmond Upon Thames, close to the river and Richmond Bridge, driving positive change in education design. We have an established reputation in education and community work as a practice which seeks to design for end user clients. We are an office of 16 people who work closely as a team in a supportive and fun environment. We understand that creativity comes from a culture of acceptance and trust where everyone is free to express their ideas without fear of reprisal so we work hard to develop a culture of kindness and care. We value social endeavours and encourage activities to support local schools and colleges through work experience, careers talks and mentoring.
The successful candidate will have:
- a professional degree or diploma in architecture which gives them a RIBA Part 2 or 3 qualification
- proficiency in Revit is essential
- experience working on projects in the UK
- knowledge in preparing drawings for planning, tender and construction phases
- an eye for design
- excellent communication and coordination skills
- right to work in the UK
For those interested in pursuing their Part 3, we have an experienced Part 3 tutor in the office and currently have an assistant completing their professional practice with us. We offer ten days’ paid leave on top of annual leave for studying, course attendance and examinations in accordance with RIBA recommendations as well as mentoring support within the practice.

The role is full-time and predominantly studio based with the option to work from home one day a week.
Type of employment: initial twelve-month contract with a six-month probation period. The salary will be dependent on experience.
