Juliana Custers Interiors is looking for a mid-weight/senior interior designer to join its team in London.

We are an interior architecture practice predominantly working on high-end residential projects in London, with wonderful clients and opportunities for international travel.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking freelance Part 2/3 architectural designers, architects, or interior designers with strong technical abilities and experience in specifying for projects, must have proved project running experience. Those with FF+E experience are encouraged to apply.
What you will do
You’ll be working on interiors-focused projects with a strong architectural and construction element, including bespoke joinery. We work on both large- and small-scale properties and have quickly grown into a beautiful, design-led interior architecture studio.
You will work alongside the project lead and the company director, liaising with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and occasionally clients. Your role will involve helping to produce outstanding designs and presentations, bringing 2D and 3D concepts to life. You’ll report to the team daily and collaborate closely with everyone.
Skills and experience required:
- proven experience in producing tender and joinery documentation is essential
- proven experience running jobs and taking them onsite
- a genuine passion for interior design and the desire to be part of a growing, dynamic team
- strong technical drawing skills and the ability to clearly communicate design intent through drawings
- proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
- high proficiency in 3D software is essential – SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape or 3DS Max are advantageous
- rendering skills are a plus
- ability to work effectively in a small team, closely with the lead designer and studio head
- experience collaborating with the FF&E/specification team to ensure a cohesive scheme
- excellent written English and the ability to confidently present work to clients
Contractor position:
- two to three days per week in the studio to start, with potential for more
- flexible working hours
- available to start ASAP at our studio in Wimbledon, SW19
- you must have the right to work in the UK
- salary dependent on experience
