Junior interior designer and office assistant

Juliette Byrne is hiring a junior interior designer and office assistant to join its team in London.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior interior designer with a passion for both design and organisation to join our team. You will assist in various stages of the design process, support the team in managing social media, organise the sample library, and handle general office tasks. This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, creative environment.
Key responsibilities
Design support:
- assist lead designers in developing design concepts, preparing design presentations and sourcing materials and furniture
- prepare digital mood boards and presentations for client meetings
- assist in creating floor plans, 2D elevations, and project documentation under the guidance of senior designers
- attend site visits as required
- assist lead designers in drawing up client costings and placing orders
- keep on top of the latest trends by arranging supplier meetings and attending workshops and events
Office and sample organisation:
- organise and maintain the sample library, including ordering and filing new samples as needed
- ensure the office is tidy, including filing materials and managing supplies
- support general office tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and handling mail
- assist with client meeting preparation, including setting up materials, refreshments and presentations
Social media:
- collaborate with the social media manager and PR consultant to create engaging social media content that showcases our design work and promotes our brand
- capture photos and videos of ongoing & finished projects and design elements to share on our website and across social platforms
- schedule posts and maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest)
- engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages
Qualifications
Education: associate or bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field.
Experience: one plus year of experience or internship in interior design, with familiarity in social media and office tasks.
Technical skills: proficiency in Microsoft (Word and Excel), design software (Vector Works, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, e.g. InDesign) and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest).
Other skills: strong organisational and multitasking abilities, an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
