Part-II architectural assistant
at JW Architects

JW Architects is looking for an experienced Part-II architectural assistant to join its team in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering projects from inception to completion. Duties will include hands-on production of planning applications, technical working drawings, tenders and specifications. You will be working on contemporary new builds and refurbishment projects, as well as generating the initial designs of a number of other fantastic projects we have on the drawing board.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an extensive understanding of the design process, materials, construction processes, systems and techniques.

Experience in contract documents and construction administration is expected, plus past experience with private residential projects is essential.

Skill base

  • an eye for design
  • excellent client handling skills
  • experience at running projects
  • capable of producing contemporary detailed working drawings
  • full experience with UK building regulations
  • NBS Specification writing
  • Computer skills: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, Revit and 3Dstudio Max would be a bonus.
