The role

As an interior designer at Kibre you will be responsible for conceptualising and developing interior design projects from inception to completion. You will work in collaboration with the wider Kibre design team and our clients to understand the vision, requirements and budgets, and to translate these into unique and aspirational designs. Your role will involve space planning, selecting materials and finishes, creating detailed design packages and coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of Kibre’s designs.

Responsibilities:

  • collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget and to present design concepts that align with their vision
  • develop creative design concepts for Kibre’s projects, ensuring functionality, style and sustainability
  • create detailed floor plans, layouts and elevations that maximise the use of space while maintaining aesthetic appeal
  • select appropriate materials and finishes that complement the design concept and meet project specifications
  • prepare detailed drawings, 3D models and specifications to communicate design intent to clients
  • oversee the implementation of design projects, including coordination with contractors, suppliers and other professionals to ensure timely and accurate execution
  • manage project budgets and ensure design solutions are cost-effective and within the client’s budget
  • stay updated on the latest trends in interior design, materials and technology and incorporate innovative ideas into your project
  • work alongside the FF&E team on co-ordinating finishes, designs and specification
  • ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations and safety standards
  • assist in the general day to day running of the company as required

What we are looking for:

  • a confident, loyal, trustworthy, dynamic person who can hold their own with clients, project consultant teams, suppliers and contractors
  • an industry recognised diploma or degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture or similar
  • three-plus years’ post-graduate experience in the residential/hospitality sectors
  • proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • excellent space planning and design skills
  • strong knowledge of materials and finishes
  • ability to manage multiple interior design projects
  • willingness to work collaboratively and creatively
  • general knowledge of interior architecture with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
  • ability to demonstrate discretion with sensitive and sometimes confidential information
  • competent in MS Office
  • legal right to work in the UK
