Kingston University is hiring a head of department of 3D design to join its team in London.

As one of the four academic teaching faculties within the University, Kingston School of Art (KSA) believes strongly in students putting their academic study into practice – ‘thinking through making’. KSA is currently seeking to appoint a new head of its Department of 3D Design. Reporting to the head of the School of Design, the postholder will contribute to the University’s Town House Strategy by enhancing KSA students’ life chances, through the role purpose and responsibilities, to help equip them with the skills and knowledge needed in the 21st century’s demanding workplace.

In addition, the postholder will be expected to assist with the management and operational activities of the department, including line management of staff assigned to the department, whilst ensuring the cohesiveness and collegiality of the department, engaging the curriculum with research and practice, safeguarding the clarity of aims and objectives, as well as
facilitating and continually improving the quality of teaching in the Department. The successful candidate will be an effective leader and manager, with significant professional experience in higher education, who is keen to be part of a high performing senior team.
