Receptionist/front of house manager

KSR Architects is seeking a receptionist/front of house manager to join its team in London.
About the role
We are seeking a confident, outgoing, and well-presented receptionist/front of house manager to join our busy architectural practice in Camden. This role would ideally suit a people-person with excellent telephone manner, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and preferably with an interest in architecture or interiors. It is a broad role with core activities, but also the opportunity to develop your skills and interests to benefit the practice.
Principal responsibilities include:
- being the ‘face of the practice’, creating a positive impression in meeting and greeting clients and visitors, answering telephones, directing calls, and taking messages
- supporting and working closely with the office manager
- secretarial support for other staff members
- managing meeting rooms and organising catering for meetings
- ensuring the meeting rooms, the reception area, and general office space is tidy and presentable, including recycling
- taxi/courier ordering, as well as travel booking when required (flights/hotels/visas)
- stationery ordering, general supplies
- managing the recruitment process
- other ad hoc duties
Possible additional responsibilities may include:
- support to marketing/social media
- assistance in preparing marketing material
- HR support
Key requirements:
- people skills – friendly and enthusiastic, and a good team player
- computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferably InDesign
- good written and verbal communication skills
- methodical approach, with attention to detail
- ability to work proactively
- organisational skills
- ability to prioritise and work under pressure
