Lambs and Lions is a multi-disciplinary design studio and creative consultancy based in Berlin. Founded in 2012, the studio specialises in interior architecture, hospitality design, art direction and branding.
The role
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and motivated Interior Designer to join our dynamic Berlin studio. This individual will play an important role in supporting the design and execution of high-end hospitality projects, working closely with senior team members to ensure that the creative vision is translated into high-quality built environments.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in hospitality design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to projects across various phases—from concept development to construction documentation—while upholding design integrity and project standards.
Responsibilities:
- support the design development of interior architecture projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and client goals
- collaborate with senior designers and creative teams to develop design concepts, presentations, and project documentation
- participate in all phases of interior architecture, including design development, technical drawings, and construction documentation
- assist in the coordination and selection of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and OS&E (Operating Supplies and Equipment) within the design process
- prepare and review design documentation such as drawings, material boards, and interior layouts under the guidance of senior team members
- collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project specifications are met and design quality is maintained
- participate in project site visits and assist with construction coordination, ensuring the design is executed to the highest standard
- address and resolve design challenges in real-time, providing creative and practical solutions
- stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to push the boundaries of design excellence
- travel may be required for site visits and client meetings
Requirements:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior architecture, interior design or a related field
- minimum of three years’ experience, with a strong portfolio of completed hospitality projects
- proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, technical details, and furniture specifications
- solid experience in onsite project management, construction coordination, and design implementation
- strong understanding of materials, finishes, building systems, and construction methods
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and design concepts effectively
- proficient in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- advanced project management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines
- German language skills are not required, but advantageous
