Link Britannia Design and Development is hiring a senior interior designer to join its team in London.

Link Britannia is a friendly and highly collaborative firm where team works across a varied selection of projects at all times. We are passionate about design that translates into beautiful living space and have many exciting projects lined up.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five to ten years’ of experience working on high-end residential projects. The candidate may have worked for a larger firm and are now looking for opportunities to take on the lead design role in a growing design firm. The successful candidate will have the opportunity in running and delivering some exceptional super prime residential projects from concept to installation.

This is a full-time position based at our studio in Finsbury Park, London.

The main duties will include:

  • responsibility for multiple projects from concept development through to installation and styling
  • generating ideas and concept development
  • preparation of high standard concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs and development of details, furniture, fixtures, materials and lighting layout
  • sourcing, scheduling and specifying furniture, fittings and materials of the highest quality
  • working in a team with other designers and architects
  • working closely with directors in building and growing existing client relationships as well as to new business opportunities
  • liaise with clients and manage on site installation
  • liaise with suppliers and negotiate terms and costings
  • mentoring and assisting junior and middleweight designers

Required skills and experience:

  • first class degree in interior design or architecture
  • minimum five plus years’ experience as an interior designer in the high-end luxury residential projects
  • has experience in running one or more large size super prime residential projects (> 10000sqft) in the past five years
  • extensive knowledge of FF&E procurement and procedures
  • proficient in AutoCAD or CorelCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and Microsoft Office other industry software packages
  • proficient in EstiPC or EstiMac
  • fluent in both written and spoken English
  • strong communication skills. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is very important
  • highly motivated and passionate about design with a can-do positive attitude
  • commercially minded, good problem-solving skills
  • capable of working in a pressured environment with the ability to work to deadlines
  • self-motivated and able to use initiative but also a good team player who can work efficiently in an organised manner
  • full clean driving licence
