Louise Holt Design is looking for a technical interior architect to join its team in Oxfordshire, UK.

Joining a dynamic design studio you will be working as part of the team on a number of exciting high-end residential projects for private clients. These include unique newly built country houses in Oxfordshire, Cotswolds, along with elegant houses in London.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Vectorworks with a minimum of three years’ experience producing RIBA Stage 4 drawing packages in the luxury residential sector. A keen eye for detail and a strong technical background are essential to this role. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in developing projects from RIBA Stage 3 to practical completion demonstrating a passion for design and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • work with the director, senior interior designers and associates to develop and produce technical drawings as well as support with presentations and specifications
  • production of tender and construction packages: drawings, schedules and specifications
  • confidently develop designs from concept applying technical knowledge as well as budget considerations and providing alternative solutions where applicable
  • advise and assist with space planning, applying knowledge of the planning process and building regulations
  • manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • collaborate with architects and M&E consultants to ensure a coordinated drawing set is issued
  • monitor and inspect shop drawings, prototypes and on-site implementation to ensure quality and design intent are implemented correctly
  • working quickly and efficiently in an organised manner

Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior architecture or interior design
  • three-plus years’ professional experience in the luxury residential sector
  • strong technical skills and the ability to produce all interior architectural drawings at a high level of detail and accuracy
  • proven experience working through all RIBA stages in technical interior design.
  • proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suite and working on a MAC
  • tangible experience in delivering tender and construction packages
  • strong technical background with knowledge of UK regulations
  • a keen eye and extensive knowledge of material finishes and bespoke detailing
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple projects
  • strong organisational skills
  • excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual presentation
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • positive outlook and a great work ethic
  • organised approach to work and tracking and recording your time with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • a full driving licence and access to own car as the studio is not accessible by public transport
  • high levels of team spirit with a collaborative and positive approach
  • eligibility to work permanently in the UK and be fluent in written and spoken English
