Maker&Son is one of the UK’s fastest growing furniture businesses. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales consultant to take responsibility for sales growth through a combination of telephone and face to face sales. As we focus on driving efficiency, productivity and revenue growth to expand, we are looking for passionate salespeople to join our talented team. A proven track record in sales is essential, alongside a passion for furniture, design and interiors.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • maximise incoming sales enquiries through robust, consultative telephone sales technique
  • identify and qualify customers who would benefit from a face-to-face visit with our mobile showroom
  • manage time to schedule home visits to clients around geographical demand
  • present the mobile showroom to customers and run meetings in order to maximise revenue generated from each home visit
  • ensure all leads move through the sales pipeline as quickly and efficiently as possible to maximise revenue generated
  • monitor pipeline and revenue progress, ensuring accurate reporting to leadership
  • capture all relevant customer data and ensure database is kept up to date and accurate at all times
  • offer advice to clients, where necessary, on colour schemes, fabrics and room layout
  • represent the Maker&Son brand through all communication with clients

Position requirements:

  • at least five years’ experience in sales with proven ability to deliver revenue targets
  • a passion for, and/or experience within the design, furniture and interiors industry
  • ability to communicate articulately and enthusiastically with clients and colleagues
  • strong interpersonal skills and confident personality
  • active and perceptive listener able to pick up on what the client is and isn’t saying during sales calls/meetings
  • able to learn quickly and identify potential opportunities for growth
  • self-motivated -ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • ability to use initiative/think on feet to identify opportunities to up-sell
  • flexibility to work in a fast paced environment
  • ability to work with different technology platforms and online packages including Google Sheets Documents and CRM and basic accounting packages
  • a clean driving licence (clean for the last five years); some experience of driving a small van would be helpful but is not essential

What Maker&Son can offer you:

  • £60,000 O.T.E. p.a. depending on experience. To include a basic salary of £40k and uncapped commission
