Mark Anthony Group has a vacancy for a director of design to join its team in Vancouver, Canada.
The opportunity
We are looking to add a director of design to our new family office design centre in Vancouver, Canada. A dynamic creative individual with a unique blend of experiences that will compliment, and at times challenge, our vision. Working with the best international architects, like Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig in the U.S. and Antonio Puig of GCA Architects in Spain, you will bring creative yet disciplined guidance from inception to completion of our projects, including direct responsibility for all interior design.
The role
As a designer with European sensibilities and a tremendous passion for interior design that brings together contemporary with classic, you will meld the new and the old in extraordinary ways with understated elegance. You are an individual with experience in all phases of design build projects who enjoys the ability to travel to discover new products, design directions and gain inspiration. You understand and love different epochs of design and furniture, love and understand colour, fabrics and textures, and are obsessed with detail.

Your experience:
- degree in architecture and/or diploma in interior design and/or proven track record in an equivalent role
- strong conceptual design and presentation skills through hand sketching and the use of 3D models, renderings or CAD drawings
- fluent in Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and other modelling/design programs is an asset
- excellent communication skills, especially in relation to communicating an artistic vision
- attention to quality, detail and accuracy is critical
- flexibility to travel internationally, as required
