Partisans has a vacancy for a marketing and proposals director to join its team in Toronto, Canada.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented marketing specialist to join our growing architecture studio.
The successful candidate will be organised, motivated, and innovative thinker with superior organisation skills and ability to handle a variety of responsibilities. The role requires someone who is able to manage conflicting demands and demonstrate a high regard of confidentiality. Exceptional time-management and communication skills and a positive attitude are a must.
Role and responsibilities:
- develop responses to RFPs in collaboration with the RFP lead and partner
- keep track of RFP/RFQ opportunities on various platforms
- keep track of open competition opportunities on a broad platform basis
- help pull together RFP package responses and format them in Powerpoint or InDesign
- develop and execute media campaign strategies to achieve client objectives
- proactively identify compelling campaign narratives rooted in global issues and in line with Partisans’ brand of thought leadership
- develop and execute story pitches that demonstrate a clear and acute understanding of the built environment
- secure opportunities within both local, national and international press
- build a comprehensive network of key journalists that work within the architecture, design media space, but also business and tech
- coordinate media interviews and photoshoots
- field incoming media requests
- stay on top of relevant news cycles and architecture and design industry issues
- draft media advisories, Q&A’s, fact sheets, photo cutlines, as needed
- editorial and advertorial writing, as needed
- manage and maintain up-to-date media lists and contacts
Qualifications:
- University degree or community college training
- proficiency in social media applications and plugins
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and GSuite (Gmail)
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- excellent organisational and time-management skills
- detail-oriented with the ability to edit correspondence and presentations for grammatical mistakes and typos
- ability to work with team members across multiple projects
- ability to work flexible hours
- self-motivated individual with the ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision with interruptions
- working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop preferred
- minimum experience three plus years in a similar role
- creative thinker, go-getter, and excited to build a future together
- post-secondary diploma/degree in applicable/appropriate fields
- proven experience working on proposals
- proven experience securing media stories
- proven experience with social media
- deep understanding of the ever-changing media landscape
- strong time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- works well in a collaborative environment
