Metashape Architects is looking for a project architect or associate to join its London studio team.

Metashape are a design-led contemporary practice working on unique, well-crafted, socially responsible and sustainable architectural solutions.

We have several exciting projects, including private and affordable housing schemes which include multi-unit schemes, Passivhaus developments and contemporary houses. We are also working on Further Education projects and opportunities in the Arts and Culture sector.

We focus on high-quality bespoke design and believe in a collaborative approach by fostering a supportive and creative environment where all team members work together in a positive and creative manner.

We have an established office in Winchester and are looking to expand our London studio. This is a unique opportunity for the right applicant to become an integral part of our ambitious team.

Design and delivery experience in the UK across all RIBA Works Stages is essential for any applicant to be considered.

The position will involve managing multiple projects across all work stages from concept through to completion. Managing a small team within the London studio and delegating workload throughout the practice. A high level of Revit expertise is essential for this role, as any successful candidate will also be responsible for the coordination and production of design and technical information for all projects in Revit, an in-depth understanding of BIM ISO 19650 would be beneficial. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as the role will involve client facing, running design team meetings and presenting projects to planning departments, stakeholders and clients.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is ambitious and keen to work as part of a team within our London studio
  • has at least five years ARB Registered UK experience
  • has excellent design and delivery skills, particularly in the residential sector
  • has expert knowledge and experience using Revit
  • strong design skills and a keen eye for detail
  • excellent communication and interpersonal ability
  • is good at working in a team
  • is excited by the opportunity to manage a team and help grow the studio
