Junior interior designer

Munro is seeking a junior interior designer to join its team in London.

Munro Design is excited to announce a junior interior design position is now available within our Fitzrovia-based boutique design practice. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline – we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly creative, and detailed person to help us with our current and new projects. Munro works in both the prime residential and hospitality fields of interior design, creating wonderful spaces for our clients to enjoy.

We are a small team, so this is a great opportunity for those who are looking to challenge themselves with more responsibility and creativity. Tasks will range from project concept development, material and FF&E selection, technical drawings packages and specification, through to procurement, implementation, and final styling.

Responsibilities:

  • creating design concepts and client presentations
  • creating 3D photoshop renders
  • ordering material samples and managing the supplier database
  • producing specification schedules
  • prepare and manage cost spreadsheets for reporting on and the approval of budgets
  • delivering technical packages and detailed drawings
  • plan and manage procurement to suit lead times for site installation
  • running projects alongside the director with confidence
  • on-site visits and overseeing production
  • liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers
  • manage sample library
  • keep socials up to date (instagram, linkedin, facebook etc.)

Required skills and experience:

  • minimum of one year working in an interior design studio with completed projects
  • prime residential background – hospitality background an advantage
  • experience working on projects from conception to completion
  • ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • self-motivated, focused, can get on with the tasks at hand
  • strong client-facing skills
  • must be experienced with Excel, Photoshop and InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • CAD experience a must (3D capabilities would be a plus)
  • an interest in design-led AI software and apps

This is a full-time position. Part-time positions might be considered. All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK.
