Museum Studio is hiring a mid-weight 3D designer to join its team in London.
We are looking for a mid-weight 3D designer to work alongside one of our high profile, global clients providing focused support driven by a collaborative working relationship and deep understanding of their brand.
Joining a dedicated team in our London studio you will deliver 3D design on mid-level projects, working with agility and at pace to deliver world class brand experiences. Experience working on spatial design projects, specifically tradeshows and brand experientials with a working knowledge of 3ds Max is essential for the role.

Key responsibilities:
- deliver 3D design on mid-level projects, covering all competencies
- ability to meet deadlines for fast-paced projects
- collaborate with the client’s creative team to contribute to vision and develop concepts for projects
- support account project manager with the analysis of client briefs
- liaise with clients regarding project progress, ensuring expectations are managed
- contribute to the creation and delivery of presentations and documents to internal and external stakeholders
- support day-to-day communication with client teams, project consultants and contractors
- attend site visits and mock-up reviews as part of the off-site and on-site construction phases to ensure original vision and design intent remains strong throughout and in line with the brief and scope of works
- demonstrate clear knowledge of design stages and appropriate deliverables
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in conceptualisation, visualisation and execution of 3D design for project with focus on brand environment and experiential marketing
- 3D Design qualification or equivalent experience
- high proficiency with AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite is essential
- ability to produce detailed 3D design models and generation of integrated 2D and 3D drawing packages
- high proficiency in teamworking tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams etc.
- ability to communicate ideas, concepts and designs through sketches, diagrams and visuals, both informally and formally
- strong design presentation skills; an ability to put together high-quality presentations of projects and effective, focused communication skills for delivering to internal or external audiences
- ability to free sketch through digital and physical tools
- demonstrates a positive and joyful attitude when collaborating with team members, actively engaging in collaborative work
- growing knowledge, expertise and interest in sustainability, accessibility etc.
- growing skill and capability in design detailing and construction
- capacity to work to resourcing, work outputs and programme plans for all projects
- strong aesthetic sensibility with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- experience in parts of the front end and/or areas of technical design stages
- proactive learning approach, with growing knowledge of internal and industry wide processes and standards
- ability to work flexibly, adapting to new ways of working, collaborating and incorporating other disciplines in development of design solutions
- ability to work independently, take initiative and be proactive
- excellent time management across multiple projects, prioritising tasks/resourcing where needed to meet outlined deliverables to deadlines
- ability to respond constructively to feedback
- ability to mentor junior design team members, always acting as a role model and positive and supportive member of the team
- specialized expertise in experience design encompassing branding, coupled with a passion for crafting immersive visitor experiences and fostering engagement
