My/Architect is looking for an architect to join its team in London.
We are an innovative architectural startup in the vibrant heart of Camden and Islington, searching for a qualified Part 3 architect with a minimum of five years’ experience working on private residential projects in central London. Experience running private jobs in your spare time will be highly regarded. Salaries commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
- engage with clients to determine their requirements for residential projects, such as loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments
- meet clients on-site to survey properties using LiDAR scanning technology.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients
- manage design and planning process until planning approval; including preparing planning drawings, planning documents and liaising with case officers
- ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and legal responsibilities
- assist clients with introductions to other relevant professionals, including structural engineers, party wall surveyors and contractors
- manage tender processes with multiple contractors
- record project delivery and progress on-site
- work closely with company directors to continually improve our services
Requirements:
- Part 3 architect qualification with a minimum of five years’ total professional experience
- proven experience managing residential projects, particularly involving loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments
- exceptional design and drafting skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail
- demonstrable ability to make decisive decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective client and team liaison
- proficiency in relevant design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
- a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving
- exceptional aptitude for managing busy workloads efficiently and effectively
