The Nanz Company is hiring a design and sales consultant to join its team in London.

The Nanz Company is seeking a motivated and career oriented design and sales consultant for our UK and European territory. This position is based in our showroom at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. At Nanz, our DSCs are the face of the brand and the cornerstone of our superior position in the luxury design industry. DSCs are responsible for driving sales through high-impact activities and interactions with design professionals and industry leaders. By demonstrating their exceptional outreach and rapport-building ability, along with technical expertise, our DSCs are charged with building a sustainable book of business with current and potential clients within a territory.

Company description

The Nanz Company has been doing business in New York City for over 35 years. We specialize in the specification and fabrication of the highest quality door, cabinet, bath, and plumbing hardware available. Our product is American made at our state-of-the-art factory in New York using a wide variety of manufacturing methods and finishing techniques.  Our sales team includes DSCs located throughout a network of showrooms and sales offices in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Miami, and London.

Responsibilities:

  • manage the sales territory with the mindset that it is your own small business
  • work in the showroom daily Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00 at a minimum
  • create precise proposals from architectural floor plans and schedules
  • liaise with multiple departments within the company
  • communicate professionally with architects, interior designers and general contractors
  • attend industry events
  • network with the design industry through involvement in associations, meetings and events
  • develop thorough product knowledge and become an expert on how our products are manufactured and maintained, as well as available customisation options
  • travel as needed to client offices, and sites within the London metropolitan region
  • travel to the US may be required one to two times in the first year for training purposes and/or to visit the manufacturing facility in New York
  • coordinate client and internal sample requests
  • keep the showroom organised and tidy, order supplies, receive deliveries, answer phone calls
  • plan and prepare for client meetings
  • schedule and host video conferences using Zoom or Google Meet
  • meet regularly with the sales director to review active orders, outreach activity and sales metrics
  • host clients in the showroom, occasionally with little or no advance notice
  • meet and exceed personal and company sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • prior sales experience required, five to seven years’ minimum
  • college degree or certificate in architecture or interior design preferred
  • strong preference given to prior sales experience in interior or architectural design or luxury retail sales
  • strong comfort level with Google products, Mac computing, and video conferencing tools
  • ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
