FF&E designer

Nebihe Cihan Studio is hiring an FF&E designer to join its studio in London.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual with excellent design, specification and delivery skills to join a dynamic, ambitious and growing Chelsea-based interior design team working on high-end projects in London and abroad.
Main tasks and responsibilities to include the following:
- designing and sourcing FF&E from concept through to finished details
- creating FF&E schedules
- sourcing vintage and antiques
- working with wider team in the spatial planning and design of each project
- building relationships with suppliers, sourcing and researching new suppliers
- producing furniture, upholstery and joinery drawings for pricing using AutoCAD
- pricing FF&E items and reviewing cost proposals
- reviewing and approving shop drawings
- designing custom furniture and producing furniture drawings for pricing
- reviewing, commenting, approving prototypes and samples
- producing client presentations using Adobe InDesign
- managing FF&E budget
- responsible of value engineering FF&E items when needed
- attending site meetings and assisting in the process of reviewing the project
- liaising with contractors and suppliers in order to ensure FF&E is delivered on time and on budget
- liaising with design and purchasing teams to ensure FF&E is in line with client expectations and to budget
- overseeing the procurement of all FF&E and taking responsibility for purchase orders, specification sheets and deliveries
- overseeing installation of projects
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- design talent
- proven experience in project management (budgeting, scheduling etc)
- ability to establish logical action plans to complete work and provide technically sound solutions within deadline and budget constraints
- ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- exceptional time management skills
- ability to differentiate the needs of different styles and looks based on project brief and deliver those styles
- in-depth knowledge of materials, products and suppliers
- undergraduate or graduate degree in interior design
- minimum of four years’ experience in high-end residential interiors and in a similar role
- high proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe softwares for the production of drawings, mood boards and presentation material, knowledge in any 3D rendering software is a plus
- ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving problems utilizing sound judgement and reasoning skills
- has a flexible approach to work and willing to assist the wider design team when needed
- strong communication and negotiation skills
- excellent written and spoken English
- experience in using Studio Designer or a similar FF&E scheduling software
- must have legal rights to work in the UK
