Nebihe Cihan Studio is seeking a senior interior architect to join its team in London.

This role will take responsibility for assisting the project’s development throughout each design phase, from concept to completion during its partnership with the studio. You will play a key part in the project team supporting the needs and requirements of the creative director. The candidate must have great knowledge of AutoCAD, as one of the main responsibilities will be designing and drafting tender packages using AutoCAD.
Please note that this is not a remote position, the candidate is expected to work from the company’s Chelsea studio.
Main tasks and responsibilities include the following:
- able to lead a high-end residential project from concept, to space planning, to completion
- producing furniture layouts based on the clients’ needs
- producing detailed design drawing and tender packages using AutoCAD
- producing and reviewing detailed joinery drawings
- reviewing and approving shop drawings
- designing custom furniture and producing detailed furniture drawings for pricing
- reviewing, commenting and approving prototypes and samples
- producing 3D renderings using SketchUp or 3ds Max for internal use
- working with junior designers at the earliest stages of a project to develop the concept
- working closely with the 3D visualizer to produce high-quality final images and visuals for planning, marketing and client approval
- responsible for value engineering designs when required
- responsible for bidding and awarding projects
- reviewing construction budgets and bids
- communicating closely with external consultants, contractors, lighting designers, landscape designers and architects
- attending client and site meetings when required
Qualifications:
- must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in high-end residential interiors
- must have excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign, knowledge of any rendering software is a plus
- must be a team player and a self-starter
- must have great problem-solving skills
- must be flexible to adapt to different styles when designing
- must have strong communication skills
- must have excellent written and spoken English
- Italian speaking is a plus
Requirements:
- must have a degree in interior architecture or architecture
- must have legal rights to work in the UK and be able to start immediately
- must have high proficiency in AutoCAD (please do not apply for this role if you are not proficient in AutoCAD)
- must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in high-end residential interiors
- must have prepared tender packages for high-end residential projects in previous roles
