We are offering a senior creative technologist role with experience in automotive, consumer products, industry or similar sectors in Berlin, Germany.

We are an international, creative team – consisting of architects, engineers, and designers – and are looking for support in the area of mechanical, mechatronics or electrical engineering.
We work in the following industries: mobility sector, construction/architecture, consumer products, and factory of the future.
Your role is hands-on, with a focus on conceptualizing, ideating, prototyping, designing and building tech-based creative solutions in close collaboration with our designers, engineers, creatives, and technologists.
You are ultimately a creative person but engineering is one of your core skills. You should have experience or at least a great understanding of a wide array of technologies such as, but not limited to, web and mobile development, AR/VR, game engines, electronics prototyping toolkits, conversational interfaces, and AI-driven creative solutions. Solid understanding of visual and experience design and tools is expected.
Your role and responsibilities:
- brainstorm, conceptualise, and prototype, at speed, unique digital experiences within the creative team
- develop future products from design ideas to functional prototypes/demonstrators and furthermore support hand-over for production
- full responsibility for the implementation of the broad range of DFX issues including technical and commercial requirements into new products
- driving application innovation and integrating new technologies
- apply your understanding of mechanical design, industry standards and process optimization to conceptualise and detail future solutions
- develop mechanical, mechatronics and electrical components/ systems in automotive, consumer products, industry and similar sectors
- engineering fully functional prototypes including sourcing electrical or mechanical components and preparing 3D printable CAD files
- work closely with our clients as well as designers, web developers, and project managers
Your background and experience:
- advanced degree (master) from a leading university in mechanical engineering, creative technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
- at least four years’ proven career experience in creative technology-related roles
- solid experience and interest in emerging technologies
- at least five years’ experience using CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or Rhino
- experience with Arduino or embedded programming
- experience working and designing electronics and hardware
- experience with JavaScript and frontend frameworks like React
- knowledge, if not hands-on experience, of game engines (e.g. Unity and Unreal) and their possibilities (gaming but also AR/VR, raytracing, virtual cinematography)
- ability to simplify complex technical concepts into more non-technical descriptions
- excellent presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- keen to work in small international and interdisciplinary teams
- high quality standards and good communication, and planning skills make you a perfect fit
