nFRONTIER is seeking a senior design engineer/computational designer to join its office in Berlin, Germany.
We are offering a senior engineering role with experience in automotive, consumer products, industry or similar sectors in Berlin, Germany.

We are an international, creative team – consisting of architects, engineers, and designers and are looking for support in the area of mechanical, mechatronics or electronic engineering.
We work in the following industries: mobility sector, construction/architecture, consumer products, and factory of the future.
Your role will focus on concept development and prototyping based on emerging technologies and customer requirements. To support the development process you will work within small teams of dedicated professionals, bringing your mechanical and electronic engineering experience to the table.
Your role and responsibilities:
- developing future products from design ideas to functional prototypes/demonstrators and furthermore supporting hand-over for production
- project management in a multi-disciplinary team
- full responsibility for the implementation of the broad range of DFX issues including technical and commercial requirements into new products
- apply your understanding of mechanical design, industry standards and process optimization to conceptualise and detail future solutions
- development of mechanical, mechatronical and electronical components/ systems in automotive, consumer products, industry and similar sectors
- engineering of fully functional prototypes including sourcing electronic or mechanical components and preparing rapid prototypable CAD files
Your background and experience:
- degree (master) from a leading university in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronic engineering, process engineering, material science or a comparable field
- at least five years’ experience working as an engineer in a relevant industry
- solid experience in emerging technologies
- minimum five years’ of experience using CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor for component drafting and creation of manufacturing drawings
- experience with simulation software
- high-quality standards and good communication and planning skills make you a perfect fit
- experience with working in small international and interdisciplinary teams
- project management skills and great work ethics
