Opportunity London is seeking an events and programme coordinator to join its small team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our unique public and private sector partnership that seeks to drive capital investment into London, helping to deliver our busy programme of events and support our growing membership.
Introduction to Opportunity London
Opportunity London is a unique partnership between the City of London, London Councils, the Mayor of London and a growing consortium of public and private sector industry partners committed to attracting the next £100bn of capital investment into London’s low carbon real estate, energy and infrastructure.
Opportunity London is a joint venture between NLA and London & Partners, with a dedicated delivery team across the two organisations.
About the role
Reporting to the strategic partnerships manager at NLA, this role involves supporting the programme and events delivery of Opportunity London, as well as administrative support to its membership. This will include event coordination, speaker liaising, preparing briefs and creating presentation materials, insight gathering and proofreading, organising schedules and diaries, writing meeting notes, driving the upkeep of the CRM system and Opportunity London website and general team assistance.
Terms
Hours: full-time, 9.00am-6.00pm (including 1–hour lunch break); flexible working from our City of London office, the London Centre (our public gallery) and from home/location of your choice
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Location: NLA’s office’s City of London, EC1V (Gresham Street and The London Centre, Guildhall)

Main duties and responsibilities in further detail:
- delivery of events including copywriting and speaker invitations, briefing and speaker management, and pre- and post-event communications. This includes London-based events, as well as large-scale conferences such as MIPIM, UKREiiF, and EXPO REAL
- supporting the NLA marketing and communications team and strategic partnerships manager to ensure the Opportunity London website, mailers, and social media outputs are up to date and promoted in a timely manner
- joining internal and external meetings, minuting meetings and circulating actions, ensuring actions are followed up and completed by liaising with various members of the team prior to meetings
- supporting the delivery of the Opportunity London events programme, including preparation, front-of-house support and post-event analysis
- producing and collating presentation materials as relevant to upcoming events
- ensuring that the Opportunity London CRM system is kept up to date and organised across our large network of members, investors, etc.
- logistic support to international trade missions
What we are looking for
You will be a team player but also a self-starter with an interest in the key issues influencing London’s development and investment industries, as well as their effect on the capital’s built environment.
You will share our team’s core values by always being informed, rigorous, collaborative and responsive in everything you do.
Essential skills and experience:
- a good knowledge and interest in development and investment across London, as well as an interest in policy and regulation across Low Carbon, Life Sciences, Leisure & Culture, Logistics and Industrial, Living and Learning & Institutions asset classes
- basic computer skills (Office 365 (including Teams), Zoom) – experience with Apple Mac OS is desirable
- experience working with CRM Systems (Hubspot) is desirable
- excellent interpersonal skills
- precision, great attention to detail and exceptional communication and time management skills
- enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to undertake other tasks and learn new skills
Opportunity London events can be hosted in the early mornings or into the evenings, so flexibility is essential.
