Nooma Studio is seeking an architect/senior designer to join its team in London.

Nooma Studio is an award-winning, interdisciplinary design practice based in Islington and Tottenham. Comprising a team of architects and creatives with a deep-rooted connection to London, Nooma is dedicated to solving problems and creating joyful, inclusive spaces that promote human thriving and wellbeing.

Our projects span across all RIBA stages (0 to 6), including social housing, public realm enhancements, cultural spaces and more. Our clients include renowned museums, art galleries, local authorities and prestigious landowners like the Crown Estate.

Overview

We have a number of openings for an architect/senior designer (Part 2 or equivalent) with minimum three years’ experience post-qualification to join our fast-paced, growth-oriented studio.

Architect/senior designer

The ideal candidate will have experience across all RIBA stages (0 to 6) and a strong passion for community-driven, socially focused architecture. This role offers the opportunity for rapid career progression into an associate role, making it an ideal fit for someone eager to contribute to both design excellence and business growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • work on diverse projects across all RIBA stages (0 to 6)
  • contribute to the growth and development of the business, with a focus on strategic planning and resourcing
  • demonstrate strong design skills and creativity across various typologies, including housing, public realm and urban design
  • engage with stakeholders to ensure inclusive, community-driven design solutions
  • meet project deadlines with a professional, delivery-focused approach, maintaining exceptional standards of quality
  • foster a respectful and convivial studio atmosphere, contributing positively to the team environment

Required skills and experience:

  • minimum two years post-qualification experience or Part 3 or Part 2 equivalent
  • proficiency in project planning and resourcing
  • strong design flair and experience in a mix of typologies, particularly in housing, public realm and urban design
  • passion for community-driven, socially focused architecture
  • proficiency in Vectorworks, Rhino, SketchUp and BIM is strongly preferred or a willingness to learn these tools
  • ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • commitment to client satisfaction and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
