Paul Vick architects is seeking an architect to join its team in London.

Paul Vick architects are expanding and looking for an architect to work on exciting cultural, residential, care and commercial projects from London.

A qualified architect with a minimum of three plus years’ experience is expected to meet the following skills.

The following skills are required:

  • good design and technical understanding
  • good visual and verbal communication
  • Microstation 2d or ability to learn basics quickly
  • facility with other programmes eg Photoshop
  • Building Control familiarity
  • detailing experience
  • site experience
  • proactive, ability to learn and good organisation required
  • BIM desirable

You will be asked to demonstrate your Microstation ability.

Initial outputs will be:

  • develop design from pre-planning sketches
  • develop design through building control checks (eg fire)
  • coordination with structural engineers and MEP engineers
  • 3d ideas
  • sketches for fit out
  • detailing and coordination of packages
  • detailing fit out and product selection and review
  • possible site presence
  • specification

Duration: project dependent

Period: full-time position.

Availability: immediate start

Salary: to be market competitive
