Studio/social media manager

PENSON is hiring a studio/social media manager to join its team in London.

Globally renowned architects and interior designers PENSON are seeking a driven, energetic and enthusiastic studio manager to drive administration, PR and events as part of our friendly and highly creative team. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fast-moving studio, delivering high profile and large-scale projects globally.

Our ideal candidate will have an interest in all things design and life, loving art and creativity whilst building relationships and supporting a wellbeing-led work environment, promoting and arranging fast moving activities, events and social media. We want someone energetic & dedicated to intrinsically help drive PENSON’s unique working spirit, unique end-product and global brand.

You will have an ability to work both independently and as a fun team, taking control of liaising with all external suppliers as well as internal teams. You will prioritise your own responsibilities, while ensuring the smooth running of our beautiful studio on the Thames riverside. Essential skills include Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and experience with social media apps and PR. You should also be keen to learn new skills & software packages such as Indesign as part of our training programmes.

About the role

General studio admin including:

  • front of house duties, first point of contact for enquiries, liaising with clients
  • managing social events, showroom visits, supplier presentations and team CPD’s
  • managing client and supplier contacts, client research
  • day to day running of the studio, delivering announcements, booking meetings, resources, keeping materials and supplies in stock, couriers, studio maintenance, ensuring studio cost efficiencies
  • CEO, director and team support – document controller, diary management, sorting travel
  • ad-hoc support across administrative aspects of projects, e.g. new project pitches, folder management
  • support for the design team such as preparation of presentation materials, printing and binding documents
  • identifying tools and solutions to improve best practices
  • liaising with external facilities, including IT, cleaners, alarm, printers

Financial support:

  • monitoring and uploading invoices
  • compiling monthly rechargeable client expenses
  • compiling monthly project timesheets

PR and events:

  • liaising with external PR company on project launches and campaigns
  • updating company website, blog, managing brand material, images, and project photography
  • managing and delivering company social media
  • keeping creative talent pool up to date e.g. photographers/videographers etc.

About you:

  • two years’ relevant experience of working in a similar commercial environment
  • keen eye for detail and can complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • ability to manage your time effectively and can work on several projects/tasks simultaneously
  • obvious team player, excellent client liaison and people management skills
  • solid communication skills and a high level of written and spoken English
  • self-motivated with exceptional organisational skills
